baby greens (and oranges, and purples)

more exciting new growth down at the allotment. we have the first (tiny) beans coming through:

the pumpkins are doing well; one in particular has recently had an amazing growth spurt, and appears to be about to bear fruit (or should that be vegetable?):

meanwhile, in the greenhouse, a couple of aubergine flowers have started to convert themselves into aubergines:

Since then, they have cold-called me a couple of times asking if I was interested in hearing about their current 'special offers'. Er, no thank you.

    ...for leaving a cardboard package fullof books and DVDs in our back garden for over twenty-four hours, in the pouring rain. No common sense - it is noly through luck it was not totally damaged (or even stolen).

    ...for continuing to promote their baby formula over breastfeeding in the world's poorer countries.

    ...for being the biggest waste of the planet's resources. Does your room smell? Then why open a window when you can buy a small plastic device that requires further expense in re-fills and electricity?
