Lovely collection of 50s and 60s Posters

Bigdaddyhame was lucky enough to find 'a collection of over 200 35mm Kodachrome slides of travel and marketing posters from the 1950's and 1960's'. I'd love to get my hands on a poster-sized print of any one image from this collection, which can be seen here.

guess who

actually, i'd be moist grateful if you would. neither i nor my family, upon finding this picture amongst some old photos, have the foggiest who it is. what's clear is that it is an actor from central tv's (nee atv) legendary soap opera, crossroads (nee crossroads motel).

i don't know if someone in the family was ever a massive fan of the show, or if they simply bumped into the actor in birmingham, where filming took place.

new action; rainbowed

i came across these images in the week, which i have had in my 'to post somewhere on the web' file for some time. and i'd like to share them with you (i also wanted to share them with the readers of found magazine, but they haven't posted them yet).

the first is a small ticket i found tucked into a small plastic sleeve under my chair at work. it seems to be some kind of maintenance history of the chair, but the chair repairman seems to have gone slightly mad:

i found the next item early last year, in crossgates, on the steps from the arndale centre car park to the train station (i know it hasn't been called the arndale centre for a few years now, but i much prefer that name to the utilitarian 'crossgates shopping centre'). this post-it note appears to be a kind of scorecard, to record the author's  sexual experiences. i assume that it was written by a female chav:

although i'm a bit of a square, i knew to what acts most of the categories referred, but i did have to look up what rainbowing is (though i'm not sure i looked at the right description).

i love this selection of pages from a builder's diary, which danielrobot (one of my flickr contacts) found in leeds a couple of years ago.

'the first few pages details moving bricks and jcb's from place to place. towards the back of the book, things get a little odd'.

the strong octopus foundation system is my favourite.
